Customer Thoughts of Shopping Experience We really enjoyed shopping at Natural Stone City. The staff was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The turnaround time was very good. The install team was very quick and they took great care of my home. The final product is quite delightful. View Gallery for more ideas! Our main attraction was that Natural Stone City carries the full slabs on display in the courtyard of the showroom. We walked through and looked at all of the colours until we found our special slab which has wondeful veins running through it. Our final colour choices were Titanium granite for the kitchen and Black Galaxy granite for the bar. The granite is 1 1/4″ thick. This was great because it allows the island to be used as a breakfast bar. The bar in the basement also allows for the desired leg space, which makes it very comfortable to sit at. They offered us 12 edge profiles to choose from. We liked the ogee edge profile for the kitchen and the 5/16″ bevel top for the bar. Overall, we are very happy with the entire experience, which includes the final product and the price. We would certainly recommend them to anyone interested in granite, marble and quartz countertops. Thank you very much, Martha & George, Kitchener

Dark wood floors and light walls serve as the backdrop for this open kitchen, and this combination of light and dark continues on its choice of colors for the kitchen cabinets and counters as it combines black and white cabinets and counters. White cabinets are topped with black granite counters while the black center island uses white granite countertop. The counter area with the cooking range goes even further by combining white kitchen cabinets with black overhead cabinets, black granite countertop and white tile backsplash.

Black granite countertops are making a big comeback into our kitchens. Glossy or matte, with more or less veining and splashes of different shades, black granite is always making a captivating appearance. This granite type is also providing a powerful performance. Strong and durable as any other granite, dark granite countertops will always make a powerful statement.

Uba Tuba granite is quarried in Brazil and is one of the most favorite dark granite countertops. This granite is also considered deep green and often looks completely black. However, Uba Tuba granite countertops are sometimes speckled with gold, brown, white or turquoise blue shades. You will never find two same slabs of any granite stone, so make sure to find the one slab that is the best choice for your space.

Black Galaxy originates from South India. It has a fine to medium grain with a bright sheen and gold flecks across the surface. The gold flecks are caused by high levels of bronzite. They can vary in size from large noticeable pieces that add a bit of drama to very small specks that just add a hint of gold. Due to its incredible durability, high moisture resistance, and little need for maintenance, it can even be used in flooring. However, Black Galaxy granite is most often used for countertops.

cherylmass I went with a “paver tile”. It’s like a fake brick. It came in a few colors. I picked the softer brownish red rather than the traditional brick red. I have Black Galaxy counters, Absolute Black sink. A small Black Galaxy backsplash behind the sink and stove. I’ve had it for about 5 weeks now, and love it all.
